4 hour navigational challenge & Christmas get together
When: Saturday, 2nd December, 2017
Where: Litchfield National Park
Time: Maps from 12:30pm
It’s on again this year! A fun 4 hour navigational challenge for everyone. If you have participated in an event this year or are a member of the Darwin bushwalking Club you are cordially welcome to attend our Christmas get together.
The Hash House will be at the Education Center in Litchfield National Park. It commences with maps being handed out at 12:30pm and teams will be selected, whereupon those who are experienced and have good navigation skills will be allocated with someone who is seeking some assistance with their navigation and map reading skills, Current skill level and enthusiasm will be taken into account when matching people up.
This is a great opportunity not to be missed, especially for those who want to improve on knowledge and current skills in a format that is both fun and inspiring. Plus this is a noble opportunity for those that are well versed in map reading to share some of your knowledge with others and get together for this once a year event.
It’s also an occasion that allows you to catch up with fellow Rogainers/bushwalkers and enjoy the evening with a BBQ dinner and some light hearted fun with prizes and surprises. In the evening, there will be a Chris Kringle swap and steal.
On the next day, there will be a botanical walk, providing insight into the variety of top end plants found in the area. Plus throughout the time spent in the area there is wild life viewing and opportunities for swims in natural surroundings.
